Other Flag state approved centres you can do Marine Cookery Assessment at?

We want to give you all the options available to you..

Note: Not all flag states require you to complete the Marine Cookery Assessment as each have their own criteria for yachts registered under their flag.

Here are some centres around the world who offer the marine cookery assessment and which flags accept the assessment towards the Ship’s Cook Certificate.

Note: these are not currently approved by UK MCA so if you do an assessment with these currently the UK MCA will not issue you with an MCA SCC but you can use them to work on the flags listed under each.

I did my assessment with Bluewater Fort Lauderdale, it was great! I have been a yacht chef for 10 years and have usually only been on Cayman boats, but the crew agency I dealt with recently required it and on my new boat, the captain required it, they are a Marshal Island flag. It seems more employers and crew agencies want it to prove compentency, not a bad thing.
